Apple Red Dates Drink Recipe For Your Tired Eyes

Most of our children have been back in school virtually for almost a month now this year and just recently, the Minister announced that the school to reconvene physically this March.

Online classes are an opportunity for these students to continue their lessons during the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, many children complained about their health, especially eye fatigue and dry eye after a long online learning session.

So, what can we do to protect our children’s eyes during online class?

  •  20-20 Rules

Firstly, we can teach our children to follow the 20-20-20 rules.

After every 20 minutes, the rule is to watch something 20 feet away from the screen for 20 seconds.

  • Look at the greens!

What I normally do is place an indoor plant at a distance away from my child and remind him to look at it from time to time.

Looking at green plants can help to relax the eye muscles and reduce the stress on the eyes.

  • Nourishing drinks

Apart from encouraging my children to give their eyes a rest, I had also boiled some nourishing drinks for their tired eyes.

One of the nourishing drinks I have often boiled for my children is the Apple Red Dates drink.

Red dates are known to be beneficial for vision and are traditionally used to enhance eyesight.

On the other hand, apples are rich in bioflavonoids which are also known for boosting vision health.

So when we mix the red dates with the apple in a drink, not only does it taste great, but this drink is also a power drink for the eyes.
