Motherhood Recipe: Breakfast Special | Fruity Creamy Oatmeal (For 6–8 Months)

Oatmeal is a nourishing source of energy. It is filled with heart-healthy fiber and complex carbohydrates that are good for your little one. Oat is also good for the baby’s digestive system. It is also easy to customise it with all sorts of flavours and serves as a great breakfast meal for your little one.

Since the last recipe we shared was about the benefits of zucchini, now we want to share with you some of the amazing goodness of oats that you should know:

Benefits of Oats for Baby

  • High in fiber, magnesium, iron, and zinc.
  • Prevent constipation and gentle on baby’s digestive system.
  • A healthy amount of antioxidants in oats helps to lower the risk of attack by free radicals in the body.
  • High amounts of protein and other nutrients that can help to boost your baby’s energy and overall health development.

To make a more interesting and healthy oatmeal, you may add some fruits (and breast milk!) into the meal. Read on to get a nutritious breakfast oatmeal:

♥FRUITY CREAMY OATMEAL ♥

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 small mango
  • 1 cup of breast milk
  • 3 strawberries
  • 1/2 cup of Gerber® Organic Oatmeal

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Add the oatmeal into a bowl and pour in milk.
  2. Purée the mango (or your may cut it into small pieces), and cut the strawberries into small chunks.
  3. Mix the oatmeal mixture and mango purée together.
  4. Stir the mixture well and top it with the remaining mango purée.
  5. It is ready to be served!
