We know that in every cartoon, there will always be a few cartoon characters that are favourites to kids. It could be because of their personality or some other factors. Cartoons will always be the staple of every kid’s life whether you teach them to watch online or on TV- admit that even some of us parents still watch cartoons as well. Remember those days where we would be in front of the TV every Saturday and Sunday morning. Today’s kids have it more accessible and luckier as they can stream their favourite cartoons online and more. They can even watch past episodes online as during our time we have to wait for a certain amount of time till we could watch the previous episodes.

1. Boboiboy

Who doesn’t know this boy from the cartoon series Boboiboy? Every kid and even parents enjoy watching the series. Boboiboy is the only grandson of Tok Aba and currently living with him. Boboiboy can be described as friendly and kind-hearted as a person. He is very courageous, bold and protective during battles. He is best friends with Gopal, Yaya, Yin and Fang. They go to the same school, which is Sekolah Menengah Pulau Rintis (Pulau Rintis Secondary School). He can be a game addict, especially when Gopal is there with him. Disliked it when Tok Aba asked him to help clean up the house. He can be forgetful at times. He can split into three different forms during his transformation.
2. Upin & Ipin
These two joyful and witty twins have caught our kid’s heart since their first appearance back in Ramadhan of 2007. The show was created to nurtured kids about fasting and everything they need to know about Ramadhan. It caught the heart of many till today and currently running in its 11th season.
Upin and Ipin are a twin brother, and they live with their grandmother who they called Opah and their older sister, Kak Ros in a village called Kampung Durian Runtuh (Durian Runtuh Village). They lost their parents since born. A way to differentiate these two twins would be by the letter on their shirt — u for Upin and I for Ipin. Their favourite food would be Fried Chicken. Upin can be described as outspoken while Ipin can be described as someone that likes to give advice just like their Opah. They both are always up to something mischievous that always put them into trouble.
3. Ejen Ali
Besides Boboiboy and Upin & Ipin, we also have Ejen Ali on our list. Ejen Ali is a 12 years old boy who accidentally becomes an agent for an organisation called M.A.T.A (Meta Advance Tactical Agency) to protect Cyberaya, a town he lives. As a person, Ali is an average student in school, always come late to school, and he sleeps in class. Viktor would be his best friend in school. One of his agent gadgets would be a yo-yo that can emit waves.
4. Gopal
Another character from Boboiboy whose kids love will be Gopal. We all know-how Gopal can be somewhat clumsy, panicky and a scaredy-cat at times. He is Boboiboy best friend. His favourite drinks would the chocolate drinks at Tok Aba shop, and loves food. Hence why his power would be, he can change anything into food. An episode of the cartoon showed that Gopal turn slippers into Nasi Goreng Kampung. He is very hyperactive throughout the series. He can be somewhat opportunist, especially in things he wants.
5. Anna & Elsa
I am sure you would guess that these two main characters from Frozen would be part of this list. Anna and Elsa are sisters. According to Disney, Elsa could be described as the perfect mythic character- magical and larger than life. Anna, on the other hand, could be described as the ideal fairytale character- always optimist. Every little girl dream is to become like one of them.
6. Didi & Friends
It is somehow a must to include Didi & friends in this list. Kids love Didi and his friends as much as they love seeing other cute little characters on any screen. Didi, Jojo and Nana are a type of breed chicken who loves to sing and dance. The idea behind this show is to give kids entertainment for them to learn.
7. Omar & Hana
Like Didi & Friends, Omar & Hana have a similar objective which entertains kids while letting them learn. But in Omar & Hana contexts would be to teach them Islamically. They teach simple Islam teachings for kids to learn.
8. Yaya
Yaya is another one of Boboiboy friends on the series Boboiboy. She loves to bake cookies, and she is known to have the worst cookies according to all her friends as its taste as similar as sandpaper. Even a cat fainted after eating her cookies as it is worst tasting. She can be described as sweet, friendly, kind and soft-hearted. But as a class monitor in school, she is rather strict and stern with her mates. She makes sure that every student in the class follow the rules and would punish any of them, even her friends if she caught any one of them breaking the school rules.
9. Alicia
Here we have another one of the characters from Ejen Ali, Alicia. She is the daughter of General Rama and also classmates with Ali. Hates working in a mission with Ali but was forced to do so. One of the best student in her school SRT Cyberaya 1.
10. Probe
Lastly, would be Probe, another one characters from Boboiboy. Probe is a failed prototype robot design by Adu Du. He is known as really loyal towards Adu Du but often time amazes at Boboiboy power and skills. Even though a failed prototype robot, he got various type of weapon in his robotic body. He can be seen very clumsy, and his clumsiness often gives something for us to laugh.
